Kelsa is as tall as Lindon, but does not share his intimidating appearance. She is lithe and graceful, with black hair.

Kelsa is hardworking, honorable, and considered the pride of her family. She displays more care for her brother, Lindon, than most, including his parents.

==Biography==

===Unsouled===
Kelsa lives in the Wei clan along with the rest of the Shi family as a Copper on the path of the White Fox. After Lindon returns with a spirit-fruit from an ancestral tree, the family argues for Kelsa to receive the whole fruit in order to advance her quickly to Iron in time for an upcoming tournament with the other clans of Sacred Valley. Kelsa instead divides the fruit in half, giving the other half to Lindon.

Days later, before the tournament, Kelsa advances to Iron while sparring with Lindon.

===Underlord===
It is revealed that Kelsa survived the destruction of the Wei clan. She is on the run, either by herself, or with a number of Wei clan survivors. She has been stealing food from the Heaven's Glory and Fallen Leaf Schools in order to survive.

While on the run from several hostile Irons, Kelsa encounters [[Orthos]], who reveals that her brother is alive. Orthos then protects Kelsa from the pursuing Irons.

Kelsa leads Orthos to where she and other exiles are hiding. Orthos tells her about Lindon's survival and she is surprised but happy. She introduces him to her father, Wei Shi Jaran, who is blind. Orthos then tells her Lindon's story.

Orthos has retrained Kelsa, this time with a perfect Iron body (Skyhunter) and raised her to Jade. She is eager to go save her mother from Heaven's Glory, but Orthos is more hesitant. They then sense the Wandering Titan's awakening.

On [[Iteration 986]], the [[Abidan]] aim to protect a world from the [[Vroshir]]. Due to the disappearance of [[Ozriel]], the [[Abidan]] have been stretched out across worlds. [[Suriel]] arrives and eradicates the [[Vroshir]] with her power, but there is much work to be done.

[[Akura Charity]], [[Akura Charity|the Heart Sage]], attempts to save [[Akura Harmony]] from [[Ghostwater (Pocket World)|Ghostwater]], blocked by the power of [[Northstrider]]. Noting that the portal was destroyed with the power of [[Path of Black Flame|Blackflame]], and needing for strong [[Sacred Arts|sacred artists]] serving the [[Akura Family|Akura family]], she decides to apply extra pressure to [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]]- either he pays for his actions, or grows into a useful asset for the family.

[[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]], [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]], [[Orthos]], [[Akura Mercy|Mercy]], [[Little Blue]] and [[Dross]] are piloting a [[cloudship]] heading back to the [[Blackflame Empire|Empire]]. Searching for a nearby town where they can contact [[Eithan Arelius|Eithan]], they instead encounter [[Naru Gwei]] and the [[Skysworn (Organization)|Skysworn]]. The party clashes with [[Skysworn (Organization)|Skysworn]] [[Sacred Arts|Truegolds]], and [[Dross]] reveals that he needs sufficient data from enemy combatants before he can run combat simulations. After holding off [[Naru Gwei]], he agrees to hear them out at the [[Skysworn (Organization)|Skysworn]] base. On the way, [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] offers [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]] the resources he gathered from [[Ghostwater (Pocket World)|Ghostwater]].

[[Akura Charity|Charity]] visits [[Naru Huan|Emperor Naru Huan]] of the [[Blackflame Empire]] and his court. Due to the upcoming [[Uncrowned Tournament]], a clash between [[Underlords]] under 35, she wants to push forward a team composed of [[Underlords]] from the weakest [[Akura Family|Akura]] vassal territories, the [[Blackflame Empire]] and their rival [[Seishen Kingdom]]. In preparation, she offers them access to one of the [[Akura Family|Akura]] sacred training grounds, [[Night Wheel Valley]], where treasure abounds and [[Sacred artists|sacred artists]] are more easily able to advance. She will further reward them for each [[Underlords|Underlord]] selected from their territory. They have two months to prepare before the portal opens.

At [[Skysworn (Organization)|Skysworn]] headquarters, the party talks with [[Bai Rou]] and [[Naru Gwei]], before [[Eithan Arelius|Eithan]] pops in and takes over as party leader for [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]], [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]], and [[Mercy]]. He plans to train them as they carry out their [[Skysworn (Organization)|Skysworn]] duties. [[Eithan Arelius|Eithan]] discusses the three steps for progressing from [[Truegold]] to [[Underlords|Underlord]]- mastering yourself, mastering the world around you, and then connecting yourself to the world. Mastering yourself opens a [[soulspace]], mastering the world around you begins developing your storage of [[soulfire]], and connecting yourself to the world links your driving motivation to the world and allows you to be reborn in [[soulfire]]. [[Eithan Arelius|Eithan]] offers [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]] additional training in the form of dream tablets from the [[Sage of Red Faith]], giving her guidance on making her [[Blood Shadow]] stronger. The team fulfills missions as [[Skysworn (Organization)|Skysworn]] on their way to [[Blackflame City]], the capital of the [[Blackflame Empire]], where they meet with [[Cassius Arelius|Cassius]]. [[Eithan Arelius|Eithan]] refuses to teach [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] more [[Pure madra|pure madra]] techniques until he acclimates to his recent rapid growth, in addition to needing [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon's]] core to be even larger to actually take advantage of them. [[Eithan Arelius|Eithan]] takes the party to a pillar of darkness, a portal that leads to the [[Night Wheel Valley]], ahead of the other [[Sacred artists|sacred artists]].

[[Akura Charity|Charity]] explains the rules of engagement to the gathered [[Blackflame Empire]] and [[Seishen Kingdom]] in their respective capitals. In the [[Seishen Kingdom|Seishen]] capital, the [[Overlord]] [[King Dakata]] plays up the strength of his elder son, [[Underlords|Underlord]] [[Seishen Kiro]], as his younger son [[Truegold]] [[Daji]] looks on in envy. The strongest [[Underlords|Underlord]] of the [[Seishen Kingdom]] is [[Seishen Kiro|Kiro's]] servant and gardener, [[Underlords|Underlady]] [[Riyusai Meira]], who holds fanatical loyalty towards him. [[Akura Charity|Charity]] offers the members of the [[Seishen Kingdom]] an additional task- to challenge [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]]. She warns them that anyone weaker than [[Underlords|Underlord]] would likely die against him.

[[Eithan Arelius|Eithan]] splits up the party to gather treasures from the new land and encourage their training. They return to the portal to the [[Blackflame Empire]], who have setup a temporary base near the portal, and he takes them to [[Fisher Gesha|Fisher Gesha's]] workshop. [[Fisher Gesha|Gesha]] has prepared 4 pills which, when amplified by the power of [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon's]] [[Ghostwater (Pocket World)|Ghostwater]], instantly powering his [[Pure core|pure core]] to [[Truegold]] and taking both cores to the peak of it, and opens his [[soulspace]], increasing it to the size of a bean. One is taken by [[Orthos]], and two are taken by [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]], one of which goes to powering her [[Blood Shadow]]. One pill is offered to [[Mercy]], who refuses it. In the aftermath, [[Orthos]] leaves the party, claiming that he is falling behind, needs to go on a journey for his own [[Sacred Arts|advancement]], and will be far below the heights [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] will ascend to in the intervening years.

[[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]] and [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] struggle to find their revelation of self, required to make the leap to [[Underlords|Underlord]]. The [[Seishen Kingdom]] prepares for an all out attack against the [[Blackflame Empire]], planning to drive them out of the [[Night Wheel Valley|Valley]] and reap the rewards for themselves. [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] clashes with [[Seishen Kiro|Kiro]], holding him off as he returns to his party, while [[Mercy]] and [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]] fight with [[Riyusai Meira|Meira]]. [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]] empowers her [[Blood Shadow]], enabling her to drive off the pair of enemy [[Underlords]], but suffering an attack from [[Riyusai Meira|Meira's]] weapon has cut through her [[lifeline]]. She awakens in the tent with two months to live unless she can reach [[Underlords|Underlord]]. [[Eithan Arelius|Eithan]] helps [[Cassius Arelius|Cassius]] fight off a [[Seishen Kingdom|Seishen]] [[Underlords|Underlord]], but the [[Blackflame Empire]] has been driven out of the [[Night Wheel Valley|Valley]].

[[Mercy]] meets with [[Akura Charity|Charity]] and discusses recent events, and [[Akura Charity|Charity]] offers her a favor due to the unfair pressure she has applied. [[Eithan Arelius|Eithan]] takes [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] to [[Fisher Gesha|Gesha]], empowering [[Dross]] so that he can simulate [[soulsmithing]] to create greater products with an increased success rate. [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]] threatens her [[Blood Shadow]] into compliance. Eight weeks pass, with [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] using [[Dross]] to [[Soulsmithing|soulsmith]] many products. [[Mercy]] offers some advice about following his fear that allows [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] to reach his revelation- he wishes to prove that he isn't useless, pushing forward so that he feels like he's worth something. [[Mercy]] interrupts his [[Sacred Arts|advancement]] so that he can do it in [[Night Wheel Valley]], where [[Sacred Arts|advancement]] will take minutes rather than weeks. [[Naru Gwei]] informs [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]], [[Mercy]], and [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]], that the [[Blackflame Empire|Empire]] is withdrawing from the [[Uncrowned Tournament|Tournament]]. They have half a dozen new [[Underlords]], but most [[Underlords]] in the [[Blackflame Empire|Empire]] are above the age limit. but they propose a direct assault on a hoard of [[Akura Charity|Charity's]] treasures in the [[Night Wheel Valley]], which [[Akura Charity|Charity]] tacitly approves as her favor to [[Mercy]]. [[Akura Charity|Charity]] approaches the [[Seishen Kingdom]] and warns them of the impending assault, including the specific location where [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]], [[Mercy]], and [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]] to which will slip away during the clash. Even with many new [[Underlords]], including [[Daji]], she tells them that their actions have not yet changed her decision- she has one [[Underlords|Underlord]] from the [[Blackflame Empire|Empire]], one from the [[Seishen Kingdom|Kingdom]], and an empty third slot.

The [[Seishen Kingdom]] cuts off the [[Blackflame Empire|Blackflame Empire's]] assault. As predicted, [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]], [[Mercy]], and [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]] slip away to [[Akura Charity|Charity's]] vault of treasures, where they are intercepted by [[Daji]], [[Seishen Kiro|Kiro]], and [[Riyusai Meira|Meira]]. Once again, [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] clashes with [[Seishen Kiro|Kiro]] and [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]] clashes with [[Riyusai Meira|Meira]], with [[Mercy]] drawing [[Daji]] away. [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] uses his [[Soulsmithing|Soulsmith]] [[constructs]] and [[Dross]] to gain an advantage over [[Seishen Kiro|Kiro]], driving him into a room full of dream [[madra]] treasures that temporarily disable him. [[Mercy]] holds off [[Daji]] for a while, but is killed and revived by her mother. Having lost her bet, she speaks with her mother, the [[Monarch]] [[Akura Malice]]. She regains her body and power as a peak [[Truegold]]. Using her previously known realization that she practices the [[Sacred arts|sacred arts]] to impress her mother, she progresses to [[Underlords|Underlord]] and disables [[Daji]]. [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] takes the brief reprieve to progress to [[Underlords|Underlord]]. In the process, he uses [[Hunger madra]] from the [[Archstone]] to empower his prosthetic [[Remnant]] arm. As he tries to assist [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]], [[Seishen Kiro|Kiro]] emerges from the dream madra room. Lindon activates Harmony's axe to destroy him in a single attack. Yerin holds off Meira with her own power and the Blood Shadow, deactivates the protective [[Bindings|binding]] around the sword [[madra]] room, and uses that to empower her [[Endless Sword Technique|Endless Sword]] and defeat [[Riyusai Meira|Meira]]. She then advances to [[Underlords|Underlord]], and [[Akura Charity|Charity]] appears to reward them- they can take all the treasure they can carry from this vault.

At the site of the clash between the [[Seishen Kingdom|Seishen]] and the [[Blackflame Empire|Blackflame]], [[Akura Charity|Charity]] announces the results of this training opportunity. All three [[Underlords]] for the [[Uncrowned Tournament]] will be chosen from the [[Blackflame Empire]], and they will be rewarded with many [[scales]] and a [[Archlord]] level defensive [[construct]]. As they leave, however, she informs [[Wei Shi Lindon Arelius|Lindon]] that he will not be selected as one of the members for the teams from the vassal territories. Instead, he will be part of the main [[Akura Family|Akura]] team, to pay off his debt for killing [[Akura Harmony|Harmony]]. She teleports him away in the shadows.

In the epilogue, [[Suriel]] rushes through the way to [[Iteration 943]], where she finds it cleanly cut off with the power of the [[Ozriel|Reaper's Scythe]], [[Ozriel|Ozriel's]] power. In the [[Blackflame Empire]], the vassal team is composed of [[Yerin Arelius|Yerin]] and [[Naru Saeya]], younger sister of the [[Emperor]], with [[Eithan Arelius|Eithan]] as the team leader. Meanwhile, the [[Monarch factions|Monarchs]] prepare their [[Underlords]] for the [[Uncrowned Tournament]]. Back in [[Sacred Valley]], [[Wei Shi Kelsa]] has stolen some apples from the [[Fallen Leaf school]]. She runs into [[Orthos]], who laughs and prepares to overwhelm her pursuers.

He was born with a special connection to blood through inherited dormant bloodline legacies. These allowed him to strengthen himself more and more by consuming water drakes.

He would venture out north into the ocean whenever he could to find prey, which is how he earned his name.

One day while roaming the deeps of the ocean, he stumbled upon a hidden entrance to the [[Cradle:Labyrinth|Labyrinth]] where he found hunger bindings. He incorporated them into his spirit to form the [[Path of the Hungry Deep]].

He is also the creator of the pocket world [[Ghostwater (Pocket World)|Ghostwater]], which was his attempt to enhance his mind by building a Presence. It failed, but [[Wei Shi Lindon]] succeeded in constructing [[Dross]] just before Ghostwater's destruction.

The healing power of Valinhall is accessed through the Valinhall pool. Resting and bathing within it will slowly heal your wounds. However, as with most aspects of Valinhall, this comes with its own dangers: small aquatic imps live at the bottom of the pool and will try and drown you if you stay too long. While this is a perfectly effective way of using the pool, if you stay long enough you can summon the mother of the aquatic imps whose defeat will earn the Traveler the power to call on the pool's healing ability wherever they are.

Members of the family have vast webs of madra that surround them and act as extra senses. This web allows them to see, hear, and feel anything within their range. This allows them to dodge almost any attack and it is nearly impossible to sneak up on an Arelius. This becomes even more powerful over time because the range and precision of their senses grows as they advance. It is said that the Arelius Monarch could sense anything all across the entirety of Cradle.

Nye essence grants it's user enhanced speed, reflexes and grace, as a side effect, while in use the users breath becomes luminous, each breath released letting a portion of Nye Essence escape. Nye Essence is both the easiest and in some ways the hardest power to earn. It is available from the moment you step foot in Valinhall and there are no tests required to earn it. Instead Nye Essence is awarded at the discretion of the Eldest Nye who will give it as a favor, as part of a deal, a bribe or any number of other possible reasons. The main requirement being he will only gift it to a Traveler if he believes it will benefit Valinhall as a whole.

==Appearance==
Ziel has two upward-curving emerald horns. They’re luminous lime green at the base and they run up the gradient to the points, which are dark green. Ziel is described as looking older than he actually is because of how he carries himself. He has bloodshot, half-lidded eyes and a tired looking, weary, and worn expression. Ziel wears a grey cloak that is stained and dirty. There had once been a emblem dyed into the back of the cloak that could have been a lotus flower or a web. He is also often quite close to his massive warhammer that he has to drag around: its haft is as long as he is tall, its head the width of his body. He has shoulder-length, slightly curly/shaggy black hair. Because of the way sacred arts progression works he looks like a 18-year-old.

==History==
Ziel of the Wasteland used to be known as the leader of the Dawnwing sect and a genius when it came to the sacred arts, as can been seen by the fact that his body apperance left him looking no older than 18. At a certain point after the Weeping Dragon moved past the land, Ziel and his sect were attacked by the Weeping Dragon's servants and in a failed attempt to rescue his apprentices he fought and lost to the Weeping Dragon cult's Sage. His soul was then torn apart and stuck back together completely wrong, leaving him weakened to the level of a Truegold or an Underlord (While there is usually a clear distinction between the two, Ziel has qualified for both the [[Ghostwater (Pocket World)|Ghostwater]] visit and the [[Uncrowned King Tournament]], so his power level is unclear).

According to Yerin, the [[Sage of the Endless Sword|Sword Sage]] broke off his engagement to Min Sheui in order to take her northwest for training.

She is also an accomplished Soulsmith and has forged two twin Wintersteel swords - for herself and for the Sword Sage.
