On Cradle, written scripts can have power. Scripts are composed of runes, sometimes only a few of them. Scripts can be used to contain sacred beasts and Remnants.
Types of Scripts
One script, composed of seven runes, will glow when carved into an ancestral orus tree and is useful for the detection of same.
Unsouled
Lindon repeatedy writes scripts into trees while searching the forest for an orus tree with a spirit-fruit on it. This script was to determine if a tree had ascended to an ancestral tree.
Abidan
The only instance of scripting outside of Cradle is Suriel's eyes, which are purple, etched with vivid runes meant to help her see the flow of Fate. When she is visiting Cradle, she hides these, as it would enhance the scripting of Cradle 'beyond acceptable limits'.
