Appearance
Sairus is described as a barrel-chested man wearing robes of purple-and-gold shadesilk, rather than the traditional purple-and-white of the Wei clan. He has a silver mane of hair.
Personality
Sairus is the ideal sacred artist to the members of the Wei Clan, one who is fixated entirely on his path, seeking power to the exclusion of all else. He leaves all clan needs in the hands of the other Elder’s unless they allow him to demonstrate or grow his own power, which represents a significant fraction of the Wei Clan’s strength. He believes that a sacred artist should never be so humble as to refuse what they have earned.
Biography
Unsouled
The Wei Patriarch came out of seclusion to attend the Seven Year Festival with his grandson, Wei Jin Amon. After watching an Unsouled beat the Foundation level children caused the Four Schools to take offense, Sairus attempted to mitigate the problem by preventing Lindon from competing in the exhibition match. When Lindon refused his offer to remove himself from the match in exchange for an unspecified promise to repay the debt, he sought to force the issue. Rather than pitting Lindon against a Copper in the exhibition match, Lindon’s opponent was set to be a much more powerful Wei Jin Amon, in the hopes that Lindon would surrender.
Before Sairus could leave the stage for the match, the sky was darkened by the arrival of Li Markuth, whose strength was so apparent that even the Wei Clan Patriarch appeared to bow before him. Despite his talents in illusions, Sairus was unable to battle against Li Markuth and died in a short fight.
After the actions of Suriel reversed this fate, Sairus was forced to watch as Lindon cheated in the match, humiliating his grandson in order to take the coveted position at Heaven’s Glory School.
Bloodline
When the approach of the Wandering Titan shook the earth, Wei Jin Sairus met with the Elders of the Wei clan to plan their response to an assumed attack by the Kazan Clan. During this meeting Lindon and Yerin arrived bringing news of the Dreadgod. After being brought to his knees by Lindon’s strength, Sairus agreed to call the entire Wei clan to evacuate.
While in the process of leaving Sacred Valley however, the Wei Clan triggered a trap for Lindon and Yerin at the direction of Sairus. Lindon broke the trap; and using the Empty Palm shattered the core of Sairus, spiritually crippling him.
Techniques
Wei Jin Sairus is a Ruler on the Path of the White Fox and his primary technique is the Fox Dream, which allows him to create illusions. He is seen to use this to create perfect copies of himself while hiding his real body. Another technique he is known to have is to create the illusion of hours of pain in an instant.
