A squad leader of the [[Skysworn (Organization)|Skysworn]] Imperial Force of the [[Blackflame Empire]]. He is a Truegold on the Path of the Amber Well. His Goldsign is yellow glowing eyes. His yellow madra is somewhat acidic and flows like water. 

His partner is [[Renfei]], a Truegold on the Path of the Cloud Hammer.  He reports directly to captain [[Naru Gwei]], an Underlord.

Bai Rou misjudges and mistreats [[Lindon]] and nearly kills [[Yerin]]. His character is important but secondary, in books 4-5, Skysworn and Ghostwater.

As a character, Bai Rou plays a secondary role in books 3-6.
