The Emperor was the most powerful Reader on Asylum. He was born a slave in the pits of Nakothi but escaped to later overthrow the rule of the Elders. He was the King of Asylum until his untimely death. He has used the pseudonym of Sadesthenes, a self-educated son of a wine merchant.
