Seliethin
Seliethin is a creature of Lirial.
Appearance and Personality
Seliethin is hairless (other than a few tufts of fur) and ape-like. He has six eyes, arranged in sets of 3 placed on top of one another. One set is blue, one is white, and one is green. His hands have three fingers. He is seen by Leah as "bluish"[1] but described in an ancient fable as white.[2]
Seliethin seems to be tricksteresque, somewhat selfish, and arrogant, based on his dishonest dealings with Leah[1] and the trick question he presented to Korriphus.[2] Leah dislikes and distrusts him, even before the dealings in question. Seliethin is graceful and familiar with courtly manners. [1]
History
Seliethin features in a story passed down to Lirial Travelers since the dawn of Elysia, more than 1000 years before the reign of Zakareth VI. In this story, Seliethin doubted the wisdom of a powerful Lirial Traveler named Korriphus and presented him with a riddle. Korriphus attempted to solve the riddle for the rest of his life, and Seliethin revealed at the end that the answer was that pursuing knowledge at all costs is a mistake. The veracity of this story is unknown.[2]
He has a prior relationship with Leah, who called on him to assist her with keeping her surveillance crystal unseen by Enoshan Lirial Travelers while she spied on the Enoshan Grandmasters. However, he took far more from Leah's Source than she intended, and took it forcefully without listening to her conditions. He still fulfilled his end of the bargain and retrieved the crystal, possibly fearing reprisal or because he does not care for outright betrayal.[1]
Abilities
Seliethin has the ability to shake the ground of Lirial and create a booming voice out of nowhere as well as additional secret abilities. These abilities were sufficient to impress Leah, a powerful Traveler in her own right. He has substantial physical strength.[1] The limitations of his abilities are unknown.
