The Executors were a taskforce associated with the Abidan whose job was to venture to dying worlds under threat from corrupting forces and save them from doom. They were disbanded due to an almost unilateral tendency for the Executors to eventually become corrupted by the forces they fought, and become dangerous traitors. The most famous of these is Daruman, the Mad King. It is theorized by Ozmanthus Arelius Ozriel that this happened because Executors operated on their own, and were largely treated as disposable weapons. He created a spiritual successor to the Executors in the form of his Reapers.
